Herne Bay Music School

We are a fully equipped music school based in a dedicated facility in Herne Bay, Kent, offering high-quality lessons in drums, 

guitar, keyboard, ukulele, DJing, and music production. 

Our lessons are available on a one-to-one basis, in pairs, or in group settings, catering to all ages, abilities, and learning styles.

Our purpose-built teaching rooms are fitted with state-of-the-art equipment, and all sessions are delivered by experienced, 

passionate, and highly skilled instructors committed to helping every student reach their potential.

Herne Bay Music School is led by Sean Palmer, an accomplished music tutor with over 21 years of teaching experience across the UK. Sean has taught in some of the top music schools in the country, as well as in primary, secondary, and special educational needs settings, students’ homes, and online. He has supported students of all ages, including those with autism, ADHD, 

Tourette’s syndrome, OCD, and social, emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs.

Alongside his teaching career, Sean is an active music professional signed to multiple record labels, with music featured in film, TV, and video games. His real-world industry experience gives students valuable insight into what it takes to succeed in today’s music industry. Sean has also performed in a range of function bands and rock bands, bringing practical performance 

experience into his teaching.

Sean is known for building strong, positive relationships with his students, tailoring every lesson to their individual musical

 interests and goals to create an engaging, enjoyable, and rewarding learning experience. Our DJ tutor, Will Norman, specialises in teaching students how to mix on DJ decks, helping them develop the skills, confidence, and creativity needed to bring their mixes to life.

We are proud to work closely with local schools, providing opportunities for their students to access high-quality music 

education, while also welcoming members of the local community of all ages and abilities.

Each year, we host exciting Summer and Christmas shows, giving our students the chance to perform live in front of parents, family, and friends—building confidence and celebrating their progress.

All of our tutors hold enhanced DBS checks and are fully safeguarding trained, with certification up to Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) level, ensuring the highest standards of safety and care for all students.
